I have just returned from a visit to Clowne Junior School – thank you to Mr Edge and all the staff and students for making us feel so welcome.
Our students: Shaun Fell, Brandon Shaw, Toby Bagnall, Laura Wilson and Liam Gibbs gave a presentation at Clowne Junior School this morning to promote a competition to launch the community radio station.
Please see at the following link a Powerpoint presentation which has been created by the students (http://www.heritage.derbyshire.sch.uk/elastic/rebuiltNed.pptx). If you are interested in entering the competition , please submit your entries to Heritage High School, and mark them for the attention of the Student Radio Committee.

ReplyDeletePolice in Clowne are handing out free property marking kits to help residents to protect their homes from thieves. The Smartwater kits have been paid for by Clowne Parish Council and are being handed out to every household in the village by Bolsover District Council and Derbyshire Police. They will be available from local officers who will be on the Mobile Police Station on Thursday 22nd September 2011 at Ashlea Stores, off Markland Avenue, Clowne Smartwater is a liquid which is invisible to the naked eye but contains a unique code that can be identified under UV light. It can be applied to property such as TVs, laptops and even cars to ensure that if it were stolen and recovered it can be returned to the owner. To collect your free Smartwater kit you will need two utility bills to prove you are a Clowne resident and photo identification such as a passport or driving licence. If you are not available to attend, more giveaways will be planned in the coming weeks. For more information contact PC Tanya Morton on 0345 123 33 33
